Version required 0.3.16

The opacity command adjusts the transparency level of an object or texture.

Usage

   opacity level [tag=] [name=]

Arguments

Level
Specify the opacity.
Values: Decimal numbers between 0.0 and 1.0
Default: 1.0
Tag
Restricts the opacity change to a specific material or texture tag within the model (RWX/OBJ formats).
Default: None.
Name
The name of the object(s) to initiate the command on (see Name for more information)
Default: Current object only

Examples

create opacity 0.5

Makes the object 50% transparent when rendered in the world.

create opacity 0.3 tag=glass

Applies 30% opacity only to the material named glass (such as window panes on a building model), leaving the remaining model fully opaque.

create opacity 0; activate opacity 1.0

Starts the object as completely invisible and goes to full opacity when clicked.

bump opacity 0; bumpend opacity 1.0

Hides the object on collision and makes it visible again when walking away.

create opacity 0, solid off

Setting an object's opacity to 0 renders it invisible, but does not disable its collision. To create a completely invisible and pass-through barrier, pair it with the Solid command.
