The Palmshire general election, October 2015, is an election to return members to serve in the House of Commons of the 8th Parliament of Palmshire to be summoned after the establishment of the Parliament in 2010. The 7th Parliament was dissolved on 19 October by King Legion I at request of Prime Minister Alphaworldian. Election immediately followed a day later. Socialist Party was returned to power, though at cost of a seat lost while Swag Party lost two seats, both also polling lower in terms of popular votes. The new political parties, Labour and Iceman Nationalist Front, led by RyanLion and The Courier respectively, gained a seat for first time, with their leaders also being elected to the Parliament for first time. With no parties having achieved a clear majority in the parliament, the incumbent prime minister Alphaworldian entered into negotiations that led to formation of the coalition consisting of the Socialist, Swag, and INF parties on 5 November.
