This is a timeline of Palmshire history.

1990s

  • 30 April - Oldest settlement in Palmshire, Town of Peaceful Valley, founded in Active Worlds.
  • 1 July - City of Metaville founded in Active Worlds.
  • 10 December - City of Peaceville founded in Active Worlds.
  • ?? December - Peace Colony founded with Legion as Governor in Active Worlds; trading company Circle of Peace founded and incorporated by Legion and Legolas to rule the former Peace Colony.

2000s

  • ?? October 2000 - City of Rockford founded and incorporated in Active Worlds. Later made capital of Peace Colony.
  • ?? March 2001 - Town of Stirling founded and incorporated by Legolas in Active Worlds.
  • 4 July 2004 - Peace Colony entered statehood as Commonwealth of Palmshire with its own government independent of rule from Circle of Peace. Legion became its Prime Minister.
  • 7 July 2005 - City of Cypress Hollow founded in Active Worlds.
  • 3 October 2009 - New Rockford Colony established.
  • 7 October - GC appointed Deputy Prime Minister of Palmshire.
  • 4 December - GC dismissed as Deputy Prime Minister and replaced by Legolas.

2010s

2010

  • 17 January 2010 - Legolas resigned as Deputy Prime Minister and GC was reappointed in his place, taking office on 20 January.
  • 1 September - Glorious Revolution. Senate abolished; Palmshire's written constitution repealed, though with continued guarantee of liberties enumerated.
  • 1 September - Glorious Revolution (cont). Offices, including Secretaries of State and Defense, abolished. Ambassadorships abolished and consolidated into position of single Ambassadorship-at-large with Uncle Lucky appointed.
  • 1 September - Peerage: Peerage of Palmshire came into existence with creation for GC the Duke of Cypress Hollow and for Legolas the Duke of Stirling.
  • 1 October - East Winter Company founded.
  • 1 October - Circle of Peace and Saint Mark's Plaza Hotel Company dissolved and all of its asset transferred to East Winter Company.
  • 4 November - Peerage: Legion created the Duke of Rockford, Bach Zhaa created the Viscount Metaville, and Sidris created the Duchess of Lexington. The Parliament is formally constituted.
  • 13 November - Opening of 1st Parliament: Parliament first met in City of Palm Hollow in WildAW.
  • 13 November - First two political parties, the conservative Tories and liberal Whigs formed by the Duke of Rockford and the Duke of Cypress Hollow respectively.
  • 1 December - Uncle Lucky dismissed from office as Palmshire Ambassador-at-large and replaced by Legolas. This controversial dismissal, along with later revelation that SW City had hand in this, strained diplomatic relation between Greensville and Palmshire.
  • 10 December - Peerage: Demon Dog created the Earl of Dublin.
  • 11 December - 1st Parliament met again in City of Cypress Hollow in AWTeen. Adjourned for recess until March.

2011

  • 1 January 2011 - The Duke of Rockford announced his retirement as Prime Minister, effective on 22 January.
  • 9 January - The Duke of Cypress Hollow was announced as the successor for Prime Minister's office.
  • 22 January - The Duke of Rockford retired as Prime Minister and acceded to the Palmshire throne as Legion I, the first reigning monarch of Palmshire.
  • 22 January - The Duke of Cypress Hollow became the Prime Minister.
  • 23 January - Peerage: Matthew created the Viscount Fairfax.
  • 30 January - Peerage: Kitty Kat Kelsey created the Baroness of Nottingham.
  • 4 February - Peerage: Raygoe created the Earl of Weald.
  • 8 Feburary - Peerage: Agent Shawn created the Viscount Raleighston.
  • 10 February - Lord Weald appointed Deputy Prime Minister.
  • 20 Feburary - Peerage: Arnold NYC created the Earl of Huntington.
  • 5 March - Peerage: Anthony created the Marquess of Arklay.
  • 8 March - Lord Huntington and Lord Dublin appointed Home and Foreign Secretaries respectively.
  • 8 March - Lord Weald appointed Lord President of the Council.
  • 18 March - Peerage: Nibbles created the Duchess of Rochester.
  • 20 March - Budget proposed by the Cypress Hollow's government were rejected in Parliament, which is considered loss of confidence in the Parliament.
  • 20 March - Constitutional crisis: The Duke of Cypress Hollow refused to resign, as required by convention when losing a motion of confidence in the Parliament.
  • 20 March - Parliament passed House of Lords Act to restrict number of seats in the House of Lords to fourteen seats.
  • 28 March - King Legion I dismissed Cypress Hollow and his ministry.
  • 28 March - Legion I reappointed the Cypress Hollow's ministry with Lord Metaville as the caretaker Prime Minister.
  • 1 April - Offices of Deputy Prime Minister and Palmshire Ambassador-at-large abolished.
  • 5 April - After a canvassing among members of Parliament amid a great tumult, the King asked the Duchess of Rochester to form a government, which was accepted and she was appointed the new Prime Minister.
  • 5 April - First Rochester Ministry: Lord Huntington reappointed Home Secretary, Lord Metaville appointed Foreign Secretary, and the Duke of Cypress Hollow appointed Lord President of the Council.
  • 5 April - Palmshire War of the Roses, a civil war, broke out, with Lord Dublin leading the rebels against the Government, in protests against Rochester's selection as Prime Minister.
  • 17 April - Peerage: Eric John created the Baron Washington
  • 20 April - Peerage: Conqueror created the Baron of Sherborne
  • 21 April - Parliament passed 4.5 billion dollar budget proposed by the Rochester ministry. It also passed House of Lords Amendment Act to increase number of seats in House of Lords to 16 seats.
  • 21 April - Armistice signed ending the Palmshire War of the Roses and the treaty was signed.
  • 21 April - Peerage: Meta Ike created the Viscount Woodsville.
  • 5 May - Lords Washington and Sherborne admitted into the Parliament.
  • 8 May - Peerage: Lord Dublin created the Earl of Arcadia.
  • 26 May - Treaty of Cypress Hollow ending the War of the Roses ratified in the Parliament.
  • 31 May - 1st Parliament dissolved by the King at Rochester's request in preparation for the general election to be held next day.
  • 1-15 June - General election results in Tory gaining largest number of seats in Parliament but failed to secure majority, forcing it to form a coalition to remain in power.
  • 22 June - Peerage: wutend auge created the Duke of Cambria.
  • 25 June - The Duchess of Rochester tendered her resignation as Prime Minister and Chancellor of the Exchequer.
  • 26 June - The Earl of Arcadia appointed Prime Minister and Lord President of the Privy Council.
  • 26 June - Opening of 2nd Parliament
  • 28 June - Peerage: GSK created the Duke of Airpark.
  • 22 July - Government lost parliamentary vote on its budget; In response, Arcadia asked the King to dissolve the Parliament to make way for an election, which was granted.
  • 23 July - 1 August - General election: The Earl of Arcadia's government gained a seat in the Parliament but failed to attain majority.
  • 4 August - Arcadia resigned as Prime Minister; The King offered Rochester another chance to form a government, which was accepted.
  • 5 August - Peerage: Lord Dublin created the Marquess of Arcadia.
  • 3 August - Peerage: The Duke of Stirling created the Duke of Westover.
  • 12 August - Opening of 3rd Parliament
  • 29 September - Amid controversy and declining popularity, Rochester resigned as Prime Minister, to be succeeded by Lord Huntington
  • 29 September - Arnold NYC formally made the new Tory leader, following Rochester's resignation from that post.
  • 6 November - Using perceived weakening of Tory-led coalition in the Parliament as pretext, the King dismissed Huntington from office and appointed Lord Metaville to succeed him.
  • 9 November - Regency Crisis: King suffered temporary "insanity". The Duke of Cypress Hollow appointed Prince Regent by virtues of his right in the line of succession.
  • 1 December - The Duke of Cypress Hollow dismissed as the Prince Regent by the Privy Council following an infamous incident involving him and the Duchess of Rochester.
  • 1 December - The Duke of Westover appointed as the new Prince Regent.
  • 3 December - Without consulting the Prince Regent or even his own Cabinet, Lord Metaville ordered dismissal of the Duke of Cypress Hollow from Palmshire Army service, including position as Captain-General of the 1st Regiment of Foot and his rank as Lt. General. Lord Arcadia was promoted to his place, while Lord Nottingham was appointed the colonel and second-in-command under Lord Arcadia.
  • 6 December - The Duke of Westover resigned as the Prince Regent, apparently in protest over Prime Minister's interference with the royal prerogatives. The King recovered supposedly by coincidence. The King later retroactively confirmed Metaville's order regarding dismissal of Cypress Hollow from military service.
  • 25 December - King's Christmas Honors List: The Marquess of Arcadia elevated to the Duke of Arcadia, Baron Nottingham elevated to Viscount Nottingham, and Countess Dublin elevated to Marchioness of Dublin. Asylum Army becomes first royally recognized guild in Palmshire. Asylum Order of Knighthood created, with Dublin, Arcadia, and Nottingham being made member of the prestigious order.

2012

  • 1 January - King's New Year's Honors List: Order of the Flagg created as new order of knighthood. Knighthood awarded to eleven recipients on advice of Governor, Lord Metaville.
  • 10 February - Election for Communist party leadership held. The Duke of Arcadia defeated the Viscount Metaville and became Communist party leader for second time.
  • 10 February - Metaville resigned as Prime Minister, to be succeeded by Arcadia following defeat in Communist party leadership election.
  • 19 February - City of Beachfield founded by Sarah de la Cueva and Jennifer de la Cueva
  • 29 February - General election: Arcadia's government was returned to power.
  • 20 March - Peerage: The Duke of Cypress Hollow created the subsidiary title of Baron Cypress
  • 20 March - Peerage: The Duke of Rockford created the subsidiary title of Baron Rockford
  • 20 March - Peerage: The Duke of Westover created the subsidiary title of Baron Berwick
  • 20 March - Peerage: The Duke of Arcadia created the subsidiary title of Baron Arcadia
  • 20 March - Peerage: The Duchess of Rochester created the subsidiary title of Baroness Rochester
  • 20 March - Peerage: The Earl of Huntington created the subsidiary title of Baron Huntington

  • 21 May - Peerage: Brock Tokeington created the Baron Tokeington
  • 24 May - Election for Tory party leadership held. The Duchess of Rochester defeated Lord Huntington to become Tory party leader again.
  • 24 May - Peerage: AlexTheMartian created the Baron Alexandria
  • 17 June - Arcadia's government lost vote of confidence on budget in Parliament, forcing it to call an early election.
  • 17 June - At Arcadia's request, Parliament was dissolved by the King for the general election to be held.
  • 24 June - 15 July - General election: Moose party led by Lord Tokeington wins majority of seats in Parliament
  • 28 July - Arcadia resigned as Prime Minister; Tokeington was appointed by the King in his place.
  • 29 August - Legion I dismisses Tokeington from office, citing weakening of his party's majority in the Parliament as the reason; Chris D of Socialist Party was asked to form a new government, which was accepted.
  • 25 December - King's Christmas Honors List: Edwin made a knight in Order of the Bath.

2013

  • 10 August - Peerage: The Duke of Westover disclaimed the Barony of Berwick, the Dukedom of Westover, and the Dukedom of Stirling, and all titles held within, per the Peerages Act.

2014

  • 6 March - The Marchioness of Dublin becomes the new leader of Moose Party after an informal canvassing among the party members.
  • 7 March - The Moose Party formally changes its official name to Swag Party.
  • 1-14 April - General election: Socialist party led by incumbent Prime Minister Chris D wins majority of seats in Parliament, although did not obtained majority of popular votes.
