The Secretary of State for the Home Department, commonly known as the Home Secretary, is the minister in charge of the Home Office of the Kingdom of Palmshire, and one of the state's four Great Offices of State. The Home Secretary is responsible for internal affairs, census, education, and immigration/citizenship within the Kingdom of Palmshire. The remit of the ministry also includes policing and matters of national security. The current Home Secretary is currently graystripe, since 17 December 2016.
The Home Secretary is responsible for appointing officials within his/her own department who reports to him/her.
