East Winter Company
The East Winter Company (also known as the East Winter Trading Company and Palmshire East Winter Company) was a Palmshire joint-stock company that was formed initially for pursuing trade with the Winter, but that ended up also trading with AWTeen and elsewhere. The Company was granted a charter, under the name Governor and Company of Merchants of Rockford Trading into the East Winter, by then-Prime Minister of Palmshire the Duke of Rockford, on 1 October 2010. It is also commonly styled as the Honorable East Winter Company, and abbreviated, HEWC.
The East Winter Company traded mainly in lumber, petroleum, coal, gold, copper, and various other resources extracted from its area of operations in Winter. The Company also came to rule large areas of New Rockford Colony in Winter, exercising military power and assuming administrative functions, to the exclusion, gradually, of its commercial pursuits; It effectively functioned as a megacorporation. It also owns Saint Mark's Plaza Hotel and Palm Beach Hotel and Resort in city of Cypress Hollow, former through acquisition of its former hotel owner Saint Mark's Plaza Hotel Company and its parent Circle of Peace (originally founded in December 1999)
The company's Governor (chief executive officer or CEO) is currently the Duke of Rockford. The board of directors currently consists of Rockford, the Duke of Cypress Hollow, the Marquess of Arcadia, the Duke of Westover, and the Duchess of Rochester, with Cypress Hollow as the chairman of the board.
