Parliament Acts Amendment

Text of the Act

1) An Act to amend the Parliament Act of 2012 to increase term of each parliament from 3 months to 6 months.

2) The irregularly prolonged term of 6th and 5th Parliaments is retroactively confirmed as valid but that 6th Parliament must be dissolved and a election held by 15 May 2015 or earlier.

3) Parliament Act of 2011 is amended to raise the maximum cap on number of bills a member or Lord of Parliament can submit to agenda from four to eight.
