Text of the Act

Long Title

An Act to regulate the forfeiture of lands to the Crown under certain circumstances.

Preamble

Be it enacted by the King's most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Lords and Commons, in this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—

Section 1

(1) If a plot of land has not been built upon for eight month or whose main building has not been substantially completed in a period of same length, then a notice of forfeiture declaring the said plot of land shall be issued by the Home Secretary and its owner contacted by any possible means who then shall have sixty days to answer the notice.
(a) If owner cannot be located or if the owner failed to respond to the notice within sixty days, the said plot of land shall be then forfeited to the Crown.
(2) No future plot of land may be given out (defined as granting of land as opposed to staking a claim on the land) without a written contract stipulating that the said plot shall be occupied and built upon within the period of eight month.
(3) These provisions shall only apply to the municipality of Downtown Blizzard and may be extended to other Palmshire municipalities by their act of consent.
(a) Downtown Blizzard for the purpose of this Act shall be defined as an area not exceeding twenty meters out in all direction from the center of Blizzard Ground Zero Park.
(b) In these cases of extension, such lands shall revert instead to the municipality where it is located in unless the said entity expressly consent to an automatic forfeiture to the Crown.
(4) All lands forfeited to the Crown shall be then be placed in the custody of the Home Secretary until disposed of in a manner he or she shall think proper.
