Update 1 is scheduled to be completed in March 2017. Update 1 is designed to introduce a more menacing and creepy feel to the attraction. Update 1 brings several updates and refinements to Tower of Terror.


* When a user begins the ride sequence, a lightning strike will hit the front of the hotel prior to their first drop; this strike can be seen and heard by anyone in Aurora, as long as their visibility reaches the attraction.
