Trophio

The Trophio project needs a clear description, otherwise the project should be marked for deletion. Cube3 —Preceding undated comment added 1:54, 14 June 2013 (UTC)

There was no mechanism in place for deleting a project from the list, or even any criterias to justify deleting a project from the list. I think it's premature to consider this project for deletion until there is a proper system in place. And, frankly, I didn't really give much thought about projects being considered for deletion from the list. It did not really occurred to me until now.
I would like to ask other wiki editors to provide their feedback on this before we actually take an action on this. --Legion (talk) 18:18, 14 June 2013 (CEST)

I do not really have an opinion on the general process of list management. In this specific case however, I will ask User:GSK for clarification on Trophio as a matter of courtesy. Please do not remove or modify the entry. --Roy Curtis (talk) 18:25, 14 June 2013 (CEST)
Trophio is being developed as a game creation platform for Web 3.0. Any user could, in the following order:
  1. Login to their Trophio account.
  2. Create a new Blueprint, which dictates the name of the game they are creating.
  3. Assign badges, trophies, and points based on URLs accessed or QR codes scanned by a mobile devices.
  4. Publish their Blueprint in our directory.
  5. Other members find it, decide to play it, and receive instructions written by the creator on how to play it.
If you're familiar with SW City Interactive in ActiveWorlds, this could be considered a more advanced version of that. Trophio is in active development (and has been for over a year), and is expected to launch into an open beta later this year. After the beta, our developers will start working with various SDKs and APIs to integrate Trophio features into other systems, like Virtual Paradise. I hope this clears it up. For now, Trophio integration with VP should be considered Planned. For the record, Trophio has already been mentioned to Edwin a few times, and he has seemed open to integration, so Trophio's place on the list is deserved. --GSK (talk) 18:49, 14 June 2013 (CEST)

This does nor clearly indicate the project is beneficial to VP as a primary goal. Project is still marked for deletion (cube3). All projects on this page are clearly geared towards VP as a first interest. I have marked this project as consideration for VP. Let me know when you are ready to start planning specifically for VP.Cube3 (talk) 12:12, 15 June 2013 (CEST)

Situation has been rectified.Cube3 (talk) 12:13, 15 June 2013 (CEST)

Ticket opened again, for Trophio, now Hydra, as its developers will not start building for VP until 2014, the status for this should be changed from open beta, back to planning.Cube3 (talk) 16:31, 18 August 2013 (CEST)

Ticket for Hydra closed, status changed to planning. Mark Webb concured, albeit a bit hostile and rude in his explanation. His response is quoted as a formality for future issues, I quote Mark Webb: "Fine. Do whatever. I really don't care about you anymore. Change it, remove it, do whatever the fuck you want. I'm tired of you constantly and consistently trying to assert some kind of authority over what I do and the choices I make (then you mask it as a fucking opinion).

So go ahead and do whatever you want with the entry on the wiki. Your choices and your opinions are not going to cause us to deviate from our plans, no matter how hard you try to convince us otherwise. You have done nothing in the last 24 hours except find some way to put me down or criticize me, and I'm sick of it. I thought a grown man such as yourself would find better things to do with his time but I guess I was wrong.

Kindly fuck off."

Ticked closed. Cube3 (talk) 17:26, 18 August 2013 (CEST)
