Victoria, or officially the Republic of Victoria, is a confederation of communities in Blizzard and Active Worlds.
History
The republic was created in 2015 after declaring it's independence from the AW-based XR, a similar union of cities and worlds. The republic is the second largest nation within the VP universe, and consists of two cities. The republic borders the Kingdom of Palmshire, which surrounds the capital to the north and south, and extends into the Eterna snow caps. Although it's capital is extremely small, it is the largest active city that is not apart of the neighboring kingdom. Although nominally a federal republic, the government of Victoria has a supreme leader whom acts as head of state. The powers of the supreme leader are kept in balance due to the peerage system, in which one or two peers are chosen from the leader of the cities of Victoria, Phoenix City, New Ave, Krynn, and Cannaville. The two peers are called in to vote whether to approve or decline major decisions made by the supreme leader.
Much of early Victoria's history was surrounded by if it should join the rest of the central Blizzard community by uniting with the Kingdom of Palmshire, which it ultimately did not in 2016.
In July 2016, the republic admitted it's first non-VP member, which quickly moved into VP after AWTeen was locked down for building. In January 2017, land-grants were given for the creation of a new, provisional member-state of Cannaville. In November 2017, the second AW-based member, Krynn, was accepted into the republic, and remains the lone AW-based member.
