Electoral Register Act

Text of the Act

1.) An Act to amend Sheriff Act of 2015 to add responsibility of maintaining electoral register listing eligible voters for the county of which the sheriff is elected for.
2.) The electoral register must be forwarded to the Crown at the end of every term or at request of the Home Secretary.
3.) The Sheriff, if delegated responsibility for holding elections, must forward the returns to the Home Secretary and publish the voting results within 5 days of poll closing.
4.) Any misconduct or abuse connected with the office, if convicted, will result in disqualification from the said office for two years.
