On December 18th, 2016, Mayor RyanLennon revealed the new flag for New Huntington, depicting a crescent with the word "LIBERTY" under it, in navy blue. Soon after, banners were made in New Huntington with the flag design on them. Along with this, RyanLennon introduced planning for the city, including moving one of Arnold NYC's original builds and adding it to the list of historic properties. The new City Hall also was opened, and the Community Center was established.

After meeting with the mayor of New Beachfield on August 17, 2017, it was announced that New Huntington and New Beachfield would merge, with Mayor Sarah becoming the Arts and Recreation Director of New Huntington.

In July of 2022, RyanLennon announced that New Huntington would go through a name change, and would be further known as Lynnfield. At the same time, he simplified the city's government, by making graystripe, mayor of Summerville, the co-owner of Lynnfield, alongside RyanLennon. A new city hall was built across from the former site by graystripe, and the city soon underwent retexturing to establish the new name.
 
Nineties Town, located across the river from Lynnfield, was placed within the borders of the city in March of 2023, making it a district of Lynnfield.
