Although nominally a federal republic, the government of Victoria has a supreme leader whom acts as head of state. The powers of the supreme leader are kept in balance due to the peerage system, in which two peers are elected within the city of Victoria and captaincy of Ave. The two peers are called in to vote whether to approve or decline major decisions made by the supreme leader. Currently, a major focus in Victorian politics is whether to join with Palmshire due to Victoria being mostly surrounded by and integrated with the kingdom through road networks and political treaties.
Victoria's most important relations are with those of the nation of Palmshire. The two nations have a joint road network which link one another together with the rest of the world, and share similar builders. The politics of both nations influence one another heavily, even going as far as having Victorian political parties participate within the kingdom's legislature.
