Flood Control Act

Text of the Act

Preamble - An Act to control flooding in chat.

1. No person may flood on Virtual Paradise chat, including IRC chat, exceeding fifteen lines.
2. Offender shall be issued a warning on first violation,
   1. a suspension not exceeding five minutes on second violation,
   2. a suspension not exceeding fifteen minutes on third violation, and
   3. a permanent ban from both world in which they committed violation in and IRC upon fourth violation.
3. All violations committed for this per each person shall be entered into each person’s criminal records by the sheriff, sheriff’s deputies, or IRC administrators and shall be classified as misdemeanor.
4. IRC Administrators for this purpose shall be designated peace officers with same authority as the sheriff and sheriff’s deputies.
5. IRC Administrators, sheriff, and sheriff's deputies shall be granted discretion to decide whether to file a charge based on circumstances.
6. All convictions may be appealed to the Parliament.
